You browse the inventory, schedule a tour, run your own pre-buy, sign and escrow, and take delivery. One named broker handles your transaction end-to-end. Here is the full path from inquiry to hangar.
We aggregate aircraft from every major US marketplace — Controller, Trade-A-Plane, AvBuyer, JETNET — and surface only the airframes that pass our own logbook and equipment review. If it isn't worth your time, it isn't on this site.
Pick a plane, tell us when you'd like to see it. Within one business day, your dedicated broker confirms the showing with the current owner — at their hangar, on their ramp.
Fly or drive to the aircraft. Sit in the cockpit. Run the avionics. Talk to the owner. We handle introductions and logistics; the inspection is yours.
If you like the airplane, commission a pre-buy with an inspector of your choice. We coordinate scheduling, ferry, and access — you keep the report.
Your broker handles the purchase agreement, title search, and escrow setup with AIC or Insured Aircraft Title. Funds wire to escrow; aircraft transfers on signature. Single-wire or staged at your preference.
Take delivery at the seller's base, or have it ferried to yours. We can recommend ferry captains, transition training, and insurance brokers. You get our cell number — keep it.
Five workstreams that most pilots don't want to assemble themselves — multi-marketplace sourcing, owner-direct tour coordination, pre-buy logistics, title and escrow, ferry. We've already built the desk.
Every Controller, Trade-A-Plane, AvBuyer, and JETNET listing in your envelope, pre-screened on logbooks, equipment, damage history, and seller reputation. Only the airframes that pass our review surface here.
Confirmed showing within one business day. We handle the owner introduction, the hangar access, the timing. You show up and look at the airplane.
Commission a pre-buy with the inspector of your choice. We coordinate ferry, hangar access, and scheduling. The report belongs to you — we never receive a copy unless you share it.
Purchase agreement, lien search, title insurance optional, escrow setup. Funds wire to escrow at signing; aircraft transfers on signature. You never wire to the seller directly.
Pick the airplane up at the seller's base, or have a USCG-equivalent insured ferry captain bring it to yours. We can recommend transition training and insurance brokers along the way.
Every aircraft transaction closes through AIC or Insured Aircraft Title — independent maritime / aviation title and escrow agents. Your wire enters escrow at signing; funds release to the seller on title transfer. Trade Wind & Co. is named as the buyer's broker on the closing statement, not the recipient of funds. We see our service fee only when title transfers and you sign the delivery acknowledgment.
Yes. The list price is what wires to escrow. No buyer-side broker fees added at closing.
Yes. At closing, all original logbooks, equipment manuals, and STC paperwork transfer with the aircraft.
Always. We coordinate access for any inspector you choose. The report belongs to you — we don't receive a copy unless you share it.
Some of our aircraft are co-listed with the original seller's broker. That's by design — it gives the seller more reach. The price you pay through us is fixed at our listed amount, regardless of where else the aircraft appears.
We don't originate loans, but we work routinely with AOPA Finance, Lightstream Aviation, and Currency Capital. Most buyers have a pre-approval in 48 hours.
We maintain a network of insured ferry captains nationwide. Quotes typically come back within 24 hours; most domestic ferries close within a week.
If you want a specific airframe that isn't on the site — a particular avionics suite, a King Air with low-time hot section, a turboprop with TKS, anything — we'll source it. Off-market search engagements close at our standard list-price model.
